Computop, the global payment processor, has been supporting Apple Pay payments for many international merchants for years. With today's launch of Apple Pay in Germany, customers can now execute mobile payments in an easy, secure and private way to pay that’s fast and convenient.
With the connection to the Computop Paygate payment platform, retailers and online merchants can integrate this innovative payment method at short notice. With numerous acquirer connections, online merchants can easily use acquiring banks that already support Apple Pay. Online shops such as Gravis or Cyberport, but also the outlets of Mister Spex have prepared themselves early for the launch of Apple Pay in Germany with Computop. Computop POS terminals enable omnichannel retailers to use Apple Pay on all channels, giving them access to multiple transactions from a single platform.
Security and privacy is at the core of Apple Pay. When you use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
Ralf Gladis, CEO and founder of Computop: " The Payment People of Computop are looking forward to the German launch of Apple Pay.
