Computop Ltd. Privacy Statement
We are delighted at your visit to the website of Computop Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Computop) and thank you for your interest in our company, our products and our web pages.
The protection of your privacy when using our web pages is very important to us. Accordingly, we use your data in agreement with the legal regulations for data protection. Below we inform you how we will handle your data.
Computop gathers various data and information about you via this website:
In principle you can visit our webpages without informing us who you are. Like virtually all websites, however, the server on which our webpages are located (hereinafter referred to as ‘webserver’) automatically gathers information from you when you visit us online.
We regularly evaluate these server logs anonymously for statistical purposes (Click Stream analyses), so that we can determine how our webpages are used. On basis of these findings we then optimise our website.
In addition we can use this information in co-operation with your Internet provider or local authorities in case of system abuse in order to determine the originator of this abuse.
Some of our webpages use the so-called cookie technology. A cookie is a piece of information that is sent by our webserver to your computer (or to be more exact: stored in your browser folder) as soon as you visit the webpage.
We use the following cookies on some of our webpages:
These cookies only exist until you terminate your Internet session and completely close your browser. They do not contain any personal data and are used only for statistical analyses of the interest in our webpages.
We allow third parties to set cookies via our webpage. This concerns in particular the use of ‘Google Analytics’ and ‘Google AdWords’.
You can prevent the installation of the cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. You will still have access to the majority of our webpages, but you might not then be able to use the full functionality of our webpages. If you should experience difficulty in making the appropriate settings in your browser, we recommend that you consult the browser manufacturer’s webpage.
Except in the context of the webserver logs, we only gather data from you if you provide us with it yourself in order to use one of the services that we offer (e.g. sending of information material, enquiries). This data is then processed and/or used exclusively for the rendering of the respective service.
The personal data gathered on our webpages may also be processed outside the EU/EEA. However, Computop has taken steps to ensure that there is also an appropriate level of data protection in the places where this data processing takes place.
We wish to point out that the transmission of data in the Internet is unsecured and that there is therefore a risk of it being intercepted and used by third parties. You can also contact us at any time by post or telephone.
Children and young people less than 14 years old may not transmit personal data in the Internet without the agreement of their parents or guardians. Please note that our webpages are neither intended for, nor addressed to young people less than 18 years old. We do not knowingly gather personal data from people less than 18 years old.
This webpage also contains links to other webpages. This data protection declaration does not apply to these webpages, however. We kindly request you to visit these webpages directly in order to obtain information there about data protection, security, gathering of data and regulations governing the passing-on of data. Computop cannot be held liable for actions originating from these webpages or for their contents.
