Manager Sales and Business Development – USA

This position is based in the home office and reports to the Head of International Business. The Manager Sales & Business Development works closely with the European Sales team. Responsible for generating new sales resulting in Gross Profit for the company. We are seeking enthusiastic self-starters to grow our US and NA business.

Purpose of the role

The primary objective of this role is to produce new business sales revenue and exceed set yearly goal of Gross Profit. We are seeking an experienced sales person with the ability to proactively approach large volume e-commerce merchants and other payment service providers, with the view to sell Computop’s payment-technology services. You must have the ability to communicate clearly, develop strong relationships quickly, clearly explain the benefits of the solution and be a talented negotiator. Your strong network should allow you to open new opportunities quickly.

The candidate needs a solid understanding of the global e-commerce and e-payment market.

Our Sales and Business Development professionals have tremendous responsibility covering all aspects of the client relationship with direct revenue and margin responsibility within the US and NA region.

Deliverables / Tasks

  • Consistently deliver revenue towards targets set by Management
  • Partnerships: Structure new commercial referral partnerships that drive new business
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms
  • Forecasting to Computop Management
  • Pipeline creation
  • Contacting prospects via phone, e-mail, personal, and business networks
  • Travel consistently (approx. 20 - 30%) in the region for face to face meetings
  • Build out and maintain a highly accurate CRM tool (Sugar)
  • Represent Computop by participating in selected industry events
  • Project manage customers as they move through the sales cycle, with a strong focus on time to market
  • Manage expectations of clients and internal stakeholders through clear communication
  • Advise management on e-commerce developments in the region and the vertical market

 


Experience

  • 5+ years proven new business sales track record in a target-driven B2B sales role
  • B2B consultative sales experience in a technology related field is required
  • Experience in a multicultural business environment and/or international sales role
  • Exposure or familiarity with technology and financial concepts
  • Can do mentality
  • Prior experience and network in the payments and/or ecommerce industry
